The M.Sc. program offers the opportunity to experience research in applied mathematics. Research areas include a broad range of fields from industry, finance, biology, disease and climate. Internship options can be gained through available scholarships.
Our M.Sc. program is available both as a full-time or part-time degree. Most full-time students typically complete the program within six academic terms (two years) giving students the opportunity to complete a thesis option as the main focus of the degree.
Note: If you are an international student (not a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident), you should consider applying to our MA program (Applied Mathematics stream) instead of MSc program. Please contact the Graduate Program Office at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have further questions.
To obtain the MSc, students are required to complete the following:
- Coursework: three half courses in applied mathematics (9 credits)
- Practicum in Applied and Industrial Mathematics (3 credits)
- Supervised MSc Thesis
Complete details of program requirements and course listings are available in the Graduate Mini-Calendar.
